It's has been 2 months here in Newcastle. Finally spare myself a little slot to blog about my life and experience over here.
"Awesome!"
It's the only word I can describe my feelings towards my experience here, new friends here and everything that happened.
Well, I won't say that it's 24/7 I feel good over here. Sometimes, dramas still going on. When there's people, there'll be drama.
Pardon for the fierce eyes from my dad. Selfie isn't his kind of things. |
So, let's start talking about how do I felt when I first came here. I had a complex feelings when I came over. Recalling the night when I was in the airport. I was excited when I knew that my dream has finally comes true - studying overseas. So, yea... I thought I would be very exciting and won't cry about it. But friends, bet that I will definitely cry like a little baby the moment I get into the gate.
So, yes !! I cried, dafuq?! My tears just can't stop at the moment I hugged my mum and dad, it was so hard for me to let go my hand.I can't stop whispering at my mum's ear telling her how much I love her and I won't let her down. (My sister literally just laughed at me over my baby crying scene, ishh !) The moment when my dad kissed my cheeks and forehead, I was so struggled. At that moment, I have the feelings that I don't want to go overseas anymore, I just want to spend my time with them.
The Big Family of Mine in Newcastle. You guys are AWESOME !! |
Newcastle has great Nightlife experience ! People can club everyday here *rolling eyes* |
Another Family of mine. They cheer me up and make my student life in Northumbria meaningful ! We are Northumbria University Malaysian Society Committees ! Yeah ! |
Alright, tears drop sometimes especially on a silent night when you miss your family and friends who used to be with you. Well, I did, but I still keeping myself happy everyday knowing everything is fine back at home.
"Men are good at cooking than women."
This statement should be proven right, at least, it's proven over here among my friends. Technically, men over here do most of the cooking.
They really cook well ! (Gaining weight)
Alright, I know it's getting a little bored now talking about this whole crap. But, you're still reading it, don't you? LOL !!!
Well, let's talk about the weather.
It's unpredictable !! Newcastle, I don't know you !!
Serious, I really can't understand the weather in Newcastle, or I should say the whole great Britain? LOL !
It can be sunny at this moment which let you misunderstood that it will be warmth the whole day, but the next second, the chances of rain or windy can be up to 60%. The wind can really blow you away, and thanks to the wind, even it's 18 degree out there, but if the wind blows, 18 degree, is just a number man !
We are told by the local here, the worst hasn't come yet. Ya, in fact it is. It's still Autumn now, but it feels like 3 degree most of the day, and we even experienced -1 degree last week. It's freaking cold over here. I feel like we have skipped Autumn and straight to Winter ! (I hope it snows this year, please !)
Newcastle is a beautiful place, but not for the weather I guess. It's not as busy as London I guess though it's a city. I won't say we don't experience discrimination here as Asians, but, as least those who I have met, are those good one. Friendly, and easy going.
Sunday Market at the Quayside. |
And Quayside at night. |
The favorite place of mine is the Quayside. I have a strong feeling towards it.
So, I guess, I gotta stop my crap. Just to keep this blog alive again, hopefully. Hope that I will back to blogsphere as soon as I can.
Ciao !
